Adaptability is key

Hi Folks, It has been a time since i penned down my thoughts on this blog. I wanted to share a story of myself where adaptability played a major role in navigating obstacles which life threw at me. There was a time when i never could get great grades in my class but i tried my best to not give up and continued to fight the situation. In college, i was not good in learning the lessons and that impacted the over all grades, ranking. Placement season began and not many had high hopes on my fate due to low grades. I had to adapt quickly on the situation and worked hard to prepare for those firms which did not lay stress on grades but had their own testing criteria. I had only one chance to crack this and i converted it into a good placement. Every one has it's own story and one must not get bogged down by the external pressures because at the end you need to stand up, adapt and continue to give your best. As the placement season got over, i had managed to crack two interviews which g

Life is short, live the most of it

Hi folks long time since I penned down my thoughts as was busy in understanding the dynamics of life which is so simple yet very difficult to keep it simple. I was in my final term of military academy and was anxious where my destiny would take me in terms of my posting, operational mission etc. Little, I knew that my life will have a 360 degree turn in my first mission. At age of 22, all I knew that in a computer game of counter strike played during my days in Engineering college, when soldier used to succumb to injuries, we used to restart the game but in reality, when bullet hits you, there is no RESTART. The heights of 20000 ft, temperature close to -45 degree made you realize that mother nature is the strongest. When deployed in very disturbed area,I was leading a platoon which had to bravely stand against the enemy for six months without reinforcement, medical back up and ration(all stalked before the snowfall as the logistic s

TRUE LOVE IS HAPPINESS

TRUE LOVE IS HAPPINESS WHEN YOU FALL IN LOVE YOU DO NOT REALISE INSTANTLY.  THERE IS A SLIGHT CHAIN OF THOUGHT WHICH KEEPS COMING IN YOUR MIND THAT, IS IT JUST INFACTUATION OR LOVE?. EVERY ONE GOES THROUGH THIS PHASE WHERE THERE IS A CONFLICT IN MIND , WETHER SHE/HE IS A PERFECT MATCH OR IS IT LOVE?,OR THE CONVENTIONAL LAW “WE ARE JUST FRIENDS”. WHEN I MET MY DREAM GIRL, SHE GAVE ME POSITVE VIBES FROM THE MOMENT I FIRST MET HER.PLEASANTLY SMILING WITH PLEASING PERSONALITY & AURA  ATTRACTED ME INSTANTLY. I NEVER BELIEVED THAT TRUE LOVE EXISTS,BUT MONA GAVE A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE. OF COURSE,LOVE DID NOT HAPPEN SUDDENLY, BUT IT IS ACTUALLY NOT A ROCKET SCIENCE  EITHER AND BEST PART IS, THAT YOU DO NOT REALISE IT FOR QUITE LONG.GRADUALLY,PHONE CALLS,MEETINGS,SILLY DISCUSSIONS,DEBATES,SHARING OF THOUGHTS BECAME PART OF THE PHASE. I STARTED TO REALIZE THAT IF THERE IS SOMEONE WHO CARES FOR YOU,WANTS TO KNOW WETHER YOUR DAY WAS GOOD OR BAD, WHO BRINGS SMILE IN YOUR FACE, SHE IS

course of lifetime

LIFE IS A ROLLER COASTER AND SOME TIMES YOU JUST NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT AS THE SITUATION COMES YOU JUST NEED TO TAKE THE BEST OUT OF EVERY LITTLE THINGS LIFE TEACHES YOU IN DIFFERENT WAYS. THERE WAS A CHANCE WHEN I GOT TO MEET MY PALS AFTER A LONG BREAK IN THE FORM OF RIGROUS TRAINING IN A CLASSROOM, A SIX MONTH CAPSULE PROGRAMME RELATED TO THE TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF MY PROFESSION. THE BONDING BEGAN FROM DAY ONE , FEW WHO WERE NOT KNOWN BECAME THICK PALS FOR LIFE, THAT’S THE STORY OF THIS COURSE. WE HAD DIFFRENCES BUT NEVER FELT THAT ANY ONE WAS OUT OF THE PACK, ALL THOUGHT OF PROBLEMS AND GAVE DIFFERENT SOLUTIONS, SOMETIMES REALLY WEIRD ONES, BUT IN THE END ALL WAS A PART OF GREAT MEMORIES THAT EACH ONE OF US WOULD CHERISH FOR YEARS TO COME. IT WAS BACK TO SCHOOL DAYS, WHERE THERE WAS NO URGE TO SURPASS A COURSEMATE FOR A HIGHER PROMOTION, ALL PLAYED, STUDIED AND LAUGHED TOGETHER.LUCKY ARE THOSE WHO GET TO DO SUCH A COURSE IN CAREER WHERE YOUR PRIORITIES DO CHANGE, BUT,   A SMALL

Give justice to your true potential

Pals,  Life is very simple and unfortunately short too. Time does not stop and it keeps moving with its own space. Sometimes, we all feel disheartened by circumstances or happenings which are unpleasant and ironically we can not really do much about it to change.  There are people around us who might cause dissatisfaction at certain level eg. -:   a) By boss, if you are his subordinate. b) As a boss you do not like your team's output. c) Team itself, in which few work harder and accolades are taken away by someone else. Happiness is a relative term. We should make an attempt to give our best and try to work up to the best of our capabilities & potential. I am not talking to do wonders and create mind blowing inventions that can make positive changes in the world. Certainly , not every one has been bestowed with that kind of intellect & wisdom but , what is quite possible is that; each one can TRY their level best to work at his maximum potential. The aim should be,

passion towards dream leads to happiness

Hii im doin gr8 nd I would like to tell u sports gives u a lot of insight to rational thinking, strategy and above all fighting spirit that helps any individual to succeed in life.I love lawn tennis, right from childhood I was in love with this game. The irony was; it is a very difficult sport to learn and I did not have the facility to either play or learn from any coach, as I was in mountains. However, the love and passion was so intense that I tried to watch all major grand slams like Aus open,French open, Wimbledon, and US open. I watched videos repeatedly and tried to imitate the shots. There were instances when frustration creeped up but hope and continuous efforts towards your goals somehow make an impact in making dat DREAM   come true. At age 12, I got first opportunity to play tennis and believe me folks it was much tougher than what I thought. In videos, it seemed a bit simpler but soon I realised that these videos would help me to sharpen my game. Nothing comes on a pla

A Train which took the blessings!!

Hiiiii pals my name is alfred and I am a driver of a vehicle which   is used in areas where almost every moment   there is a possibility of a bullet hitting you. Yes it’s a "no man’s land” zone or you can say a zone where no one is right or wrong or may be everyone is wrong but the fact is that, as the job is demanding so are the risks involved with it. My wife is new to this culture and she is scared whether I would make it to home this time when I get leave. Ah! the problem is leave is not guaranteed or it is not a right but a privilege, my boss says so..:(:( I really wanted to go home but my boss is equally in a very difficult situation, though nice at heart; and it is not his fault that he is not able to give me leave. Irony is that, he has some important work at home and he has requested me to hold my leave until he is back. As the new boss is new to location and due to my exposure I know the critical routes which would be important for lot of tasks in his absence. I do u
